Alessia + Matthew - Moody modern elegance at the Elora Mill

Every couples path to designing their wedding is different. For Alessia and Matthew that meant a complete last minute design edit. From a subtle rustic Italian vineyard vibe with textured foliage to a modern wedding that was dreamily moody with warm earth tones and pops of plum and organic inspired floral designs. Honestly, this design change was simply perfect for Alessia + Matthew, and their gorgeous personal sense of style.

Alessia had some hard asks, such as colour palette, the use of dried lunaria for her wedding party + floral design aesthetic. She had complete trust in Sue Gallo Designs, and gave us complete freedom to run with her design inspiration to create her wedding florals. While Alessia’s vision + inspiration included many florals that simply weren’t available in December, we choose seasonal flowers that worked well with her aesthetic to bring her vision of an organic feel to life. With moody florals, classic details such as candles encased in sophisticated cylinder tubes, rich textured gauze runners and napkins, and tablescapes that ran on forever - Alessia and Matthew’s effortlessly elegant wedding came to life. Completing their vision was a stunning rose, ranunculus and yellow oncidium orchid bridal bouquet and those gorgeous bridesmaids clusters of dried lunaria.
