planning and detailing your rehearsal dinner

Rehearsals are an integral part of the wedding process – it gives the couple, their wedding party and family members the opportunity to practice before the big day and get any nerves out there. It is also an opportunity to have a small, intimate dinner with this group of people to celebrate before the commotion of the main event.

When planning a rehearsal dinner, it is important to remember a few key things:

-       Who are you inviting?

o   Are you inviting any additional people beyond wedding party and immediate family? Any close friends, or anyone with another important role in your event?

-       Where do you want to host it?

o   This can be anywhere! Restaurant, backyard, another venue? The world is your oyster!

-       What elements do you want to include?

o   Are there any speeches you want to make or any gifts for your wedding party or family to thank them? This is the perfect opportunity to do so!

Another question is, what theme do you want to have? Even though the rehearsal is smaller, and can be more of a subdue occasion, it can also be an opportunity to give a glimpse of the wedding. Adding décor and florals can help to elevate the experience and is an extension of your wedding – and you! Or, it can also be a design completely different to the wedding day to highlight other elements you have not have included – providing a fun, cool contrast to the design of the wedding. This allows you to explore even more style over the course of the two events.

This is a huge moment in your life so why not celebrate and doing it in full!
