I actually didn’t get the change to meet Alison or Stephen in person until the day of their wedding. In the months leading up to their wedding, we teamed up with the fabulous Danielle  of Shaw Events while Alison and Stephen were at home out east. I simply adored how all of the simple yet gorgeous details came together for their cockail reception celebrations. With a super fabulous dream team of Simply Beautiful decor who provided the linen, lounge furniture and vineyard chairs that enhanced the industrial space of the Spice Factory, to Sharleen from Sweet Celebrations who true to form created the most delishous confections and loveliest of wedding cakes, to lovelie Sadie of Love Me Make up who made the gals even more gorgeous to photographer Jennifer Xu who captured the day so perfectly. Sue Gallo Designs was beyond thrilled to be part of this gorgeous wedding day!

ENGAGEMENT SHOOT WITH SHAW EVENTS | Photography by Angelika Filinska

ENGAGEMENT SHOOT WITH SHAW EVENTS | Photography by Angelika Filinska

“Lets run away together, Away from the city lights, Where no one knows our names yet, and we can see the stars at night, we’ll camp out in the open, warming the cold sky by the fire, tell each other hopes and dreams, and all of our desires, We’ll own nothing more than we need, Watch the sunrise colour the sky, learn what we are really here for, away from societies eyes, this jouney will be scary, but we’ll leave without a plan and I know it will be alright as long as you’re holding my hand” E.H.

As our beautiful Eucalpytus & Rose bouquet was just a simple element to this lovely engagement shoot with Shaw Events, and as I never got the opportunity meet this beautiful couple … this poem … this love story … shared by photographer Angelika Filinska on her instagram feed seemed so amazingly appropreate for them. In my eye’s mind, hearing those words of love, longing and dreams seemed to perfectly discribe the vibe and feel of this beautiful engagement shoot. Thanks Danielle & Angelinka for having Sue Gallo Designs along on this beautiful adventure. xo

Lovely Summer Wedding at The Tamahaac Club | Ancaster Wedding

One of our favourite venues is nestled along the Niagara Escarpement in Ancaster. Hidden away … many don’t even know it exists! But we do and how do we LOVE the Tamahaac Club. An exclusive members only hunting club with a historic history … a beautiful manson set along the escarpment overlooking West Hamilton and the Dundas Valley … the setting could not be more beautiful or perfect for a wedding celebration.

We are smitten with each and every image that Jenn Kavanagh Photography captured of this sweet day filled with love and family.

CHIC VINTAGE BRIDE | Editorial Feature The Barracks Inn

There is so much to love about our latest creative feature. This creative was really all about the foliage … a stunning over sized centerpiece that cascaded and puddled on the stone floor to the gorgeously lush crescent bouquet of trailing ivy, italian ruscus, baby eucalyptus, privette berry to the accenting delphinium stems that adorned the hearth … these florals were nothing less than specatular! Truly, one of my most favourite creatives to design for. This bouquet still gives me the goose bumps!!

Because no creative is complete without the most perfect details, our dear friends from Warehouse 84 provided the most perfect finishing pieces and furniture and & the  3 most stunning wedding cakes from Sweet Celebrations truly completed the feel of our afternoon at the historic Barracks Inn in Ancaster. With lovely stationary from The Lovely Little Design Co. a beautiful gown from Second Dance Bridal, hair & make up by Pretty Me Make Up and with a whole bunch of loving help from Jackie Penner Events our little creative came together most perfectly. We are completely smitten with each and every image that photographer Katie Nicole captured!

Thank you to Chic Vintage Bride for falling in love with our little labour of love … we allways as over the moon when you share our beautiful work.

Product Editorial with Sweet Celebrations

Last week, we were so thrilled to help out our dear friends Sharleen and Shannon of Sweet Celebrations Wedding Cakes with their product editorial. Usually Sharleen and I only see each other in passing during the wedding season as we are busy with our own lovely creations on wedding days. So it was super lovely to get to spend the day with this dear and uber talented confectioner who has become a true friend and business bestie. Her beautiful edible creations are perfect pieces of art and were so inspiring to create around. If you haven’t had to a chance to meet this lovely lady and sample here delicious treats … what are you waiting for …. beautiful, lovely, sweet and delicious … the perfect sweet treats for your wedding day!

Winter Wedding at The Ancaster Mill | Alieen & David

Aileen & David were married on a beautiful winter’s day in January in the gorgeous Miller’s Chapel at the Ancaster Mill. A perfect setting for an intimate celebration of their love. Alieen had been dreaming of a romantic atmosphere with lush greens, beautiful white blossoms and an abundance of candle light for a beautiful ambance. So the Sue Gallo Designs team created just that … inspired by Alieens vision we set to work on creating yards of aromatic silver dollar and seeded eucalyptus & Italian  Ruscus garlands, than added lush playa blanca white rose blossom and sweet white spray roses  and finished with hints of double petaled french tulips to bring it all together. We couldn’t forget those candles … oodles and oodles of candles…they set the mood for a most remarkable celebration!

Take a moment to enjoy their beautiful day captured so elegantly by Karyn Nicole Photography.

ART GALLERY OF HAMILTON WEDDING | Revisiting Theresa & Pauls Lovely Summer Wedding

We couldn’t think of a more lovely way to welcome spring than with revisiting one of our favourite weddings. Therea & Paul’s romantic wedding and reception was held at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. Danielle of Shaw Events helped this sweet as can be couple pull their details together for a sweet celebration in shades of lavenders, champagnes, blushes and creams. Simple yet  lush florals completed the atmsophere and set the mood for a sweet and intimate day. Simple details such as a gorgeous lace table runner from Simply Beautiful Decor and custom stationary from Alicia’s infinity completed the decor. We as usual are completely in love with the work of photographer Claire Dam.

ART GALLERY OF HAMILTON | Annual Menu Tasting Evening

Every year we are honoured to be part of the Art Gallery of Hamilton’s Annual Client Menu Tasting Evening. We approached this years evening a little differently, and together with Danielle of Shaw Events, we created a gorgeous curated evening for everyone to enjoy … to be inspired … and to begin dreaming of their own special celebration.

The galleries magnificent 2500 ft Tanenbaum Pavillon is a beautiful space that allows for so much possibilty … an amazing blank space that allows you to create any type of atmsophere you can dream up. That is why we here at Sue Gallo Designs loves it so!! We also adore Chinoiserie and the beautiful patterns that this European interpretation of Chinese and Asian art create. The Pavillon was the perfect place to play with this gorgeous pattern, some even lovelier blooms and set the mood for an evening of delectable food, fine drinks and good company.

We are so thrilled to share this beautiful evening through the talented eyes of Kayla Yestal Fine Art Photography. With one pretty sweet sweets table styled by Sue Gallo Designs & Shaw Events with a gorgeous cake by The Dessert Room, Chinoiserie Plateware, Glass & Stem Ware from Plate Occasions and stationary by Quills. STYLE HINTS | PART ONE Wedding Colours & how to choose the perfect hue

Don’t limit yourself!
Gone are the days of the strict colour rules … it’s all about individuality and personalizing your wedding to be an extension of you and your own personal styles. Many amazingly beautiful weddings use varieties of colours that work stunningly well together. Colour palettes help you pull togehter your vision and creates a theme scene … think of an English Garden with pastel shades of blues, pinks, peaches and yellows or a Muskoka fall with reds, oranges, browns and golds or a Tuscan Vineyard with shades of olive greens, eucalyptus greys and creamy whites … Using more than one neutral to enhance your colour palette can help pull your vision together and create a truly beautiful celebration.

Keeping it Simple
To create a cohesive flow throughout your atmosphere you should choose two to four colour combinations and stick to them. Narrowing your colour palette to just a few colours will have all those amazing details you’ve chosen to enhance your wedding day feel like they belong together and within your vision. Everything from your bouquet to centerpieces to floral accents will feel neat and tidy … creating a more elegant and sophisticated atmosphere. If you are after a more organic undone look, than opt for using a few hues and shades of a particular colour. Or if you are wanting a more single toned event go bold with hues and shades of one particular colour palette like stunning purples or dreamy creamy whites for a more classic and elegant affair.

Colour Trends
Our colour philosophy here at Sue Gallo Designs is to create a celebration that is an extension of your own personal tastes and style … so that means avoiding colour trends … well unless that colour trend is all about you! Think about what colours make you happy, what colours you gravitate towards, the colours that you live with on a daily basis … those are the colours that you should choose to enhance your wedding day with … not the latest Pantone colour of the year. Don’t get me wrong, these colours can be amazing … but use those tones sparingly and choose hues and shades that work well with who you are … just because you love a certain wedding blog or Pinterest inspiration board doesn’t mean that it’s for you.

It’s all about the Balance
Okay, lets face it … styling & designing a wedding is all about colour and how you incorporate them into your celebrations. One of the biggest mistake couples make while choosing their colours is not considering balance. Just because you are using two dominate colours, certainly doesn’t mean that you have to use them equally through your wedding. Choose a dominate colour, make this colour take center stage as it will affect all of the decisions you make when choosing the rest of your decor elements such as linen, lighting, flowers, gowns, stationary and so much more. You want your colours to compliment each other, allowing your favourite to shine through. So if you love orange … pick a few shades and hues that are in between such as apricot, peach, and coral. A thoughful balancing act between colours is key when making colour combinations look chic and simply perfect.

Take a bit of a risk …. you aren’t planning a Christmas Party
To be avoided by all means … keep your colours from reminding your guests of their favourite holiday. Chose hues and shades that stays clear of resembling a holiday … so if red is your desired colour, try tweaking the colour palette by incorporating cherry reds with pomegranate, raspberry, marsala or merlot. Introduce golds, pearl, or metallic elements to break up the and downplay the obvious colour connotations.

Don’t fight with your venue’s colour palette
Quite often we hear “I hate the colour of the walls of my venue, the shade of the carpet is hideous” Okay … so you need to have a colour palette in mind when you head out to begin venue hunting. Think about your colour palette and the hues and shades that you want to use … I’m not saying that your venue choice has to be made by the perfect shade of the venue’s floors or walls, but you should consider it’s atmosphere when choosing either your perfect venue or your perfect colour palette. Use the venue’s colour palette to enhance your own. If you love pink but the venue has dark tones, considering using softer blushes and pale tones instead of hot pink.

How did we make it all work … check it out!

Nothing could be better than a warm summer evening in the Dundas Valley to play host to a relaxed and slightly vintage inspired celebration. Jennifer & Billy chose the gorgeous Miller’s Chapel at the Ancaster Mill for their nuptials—it’s secluded wooded valley location was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of a late summer’s evening in the city! Jennifer was all about her bouquet … and needed to have the most perfect hue of peachy coral …. so working with the dream team at Sue Gallo Designs we brought her dream florals to life. With lush and classic Juliette Garden roses in the softest hue of peach, complimented with fluffy dinner plate dahlia’s, romantic spray roses and textured blushing bride lucedendron … nothing could have been any more perfect. We adored the intimate feel of their celebration, and it is all captured beautifully by Ema Wedding Collective.

WEDDING FLOWER BUDGETING | Ever wonder why your bridal bouquet costs so much?

Ever wonder why your bridal bouquet costs so much more than any other bouquet you have ever bought? Some of you might think you’re are being taken advantage of …. but trust me my lovelies … that’s not the case! Think about this … we here at Sue Gallo Designs take the time to get to know you, your likes, dislikes,  your tastes and personal style, your over all wedding vision and help you curate a bouquet that is simply perfect for you, your gown and your wedding day.

Your bridal bouquet has 2 to 3 times more flowers within it than you might think. and we use the highest quality of product of course! Because nothing but the best for our lovely brides!  After taking time to understand your vision, your wedding and your dreams, we custom order your bouquet flowers from quality farms and hand pick your blooms for the highest & freshest quality and prettiest blooms to create your dream bouquet. Your bouquet isn’t created with just whatever is available at the flower market that week. We have fostered amazing relationships with growers and suppliers who have the highest quality and freshest blooms around and work with them to ensure that we have exactly what we are looking for.  With our years of experience, we know just what blooms will look best, what colours will compliment each other, and what textures work best together to fulfill your vision.

Once we have the prettiest and freshest blooms in studio, it takes us time to carefully clean and condition those gorgeous blooms. Then we set to work on hand crafting and carefully curating your bouquet. This always take us 3 to 4 times longer than it would for us to create a market bouquet … because we want to get it just right … perfect in fact!

Then it’s perfectly and beautiful bound with the loveliest ribbons and wrapped up super pretty … just for you.

It has taken years to hone our craft and to perfect our methods to create beautiful florals. So when you receive a quote for your wedding flowers … stop for a moment, look beyond the bottom line and consider this,  the value of our work and  your time spent with us and how we inspired you, the time it took us to carefully plan the most perfect wedding florals along with you … the experience & knowledge behind our florals. We here at Sue Gallo Designs are fiercely passionate about our work and helping you to create a most remarkable celebration!

So…what are you waiting for?? Give us a ring … lets get chatting and planning your amazingly beautiful Sue Gallo Designs wedding … so when you walk down the aisle you will be carring a beautiful bouquet … a bouquet you’ve been dreaming of since the day you said Yes to that gorgeous ring on your finger!

Sue, thank you so much for helping make our wedding dream come to life. From our first inital meeting, we were met with warmth and a plethora of ideas. The historic Burlington Golf & Country Club was chosen by the bride’s mother to host Melanie and Billy’s elegant summer nuptials and wedding celebrations. Mrs. Scott was inspired by the idea of a beautiful wedding with simple but elegant details that were lush, lively and romantic to match Melanie & Billy’s courtship. Working with Simply Beautiful Decor, Sweet Celebrations and Sue Gallo Designs, wedding deatils were carefully curated to create a perfectly elegant feel mixing whites, blushes with swaths of greenery. The Sue Gallo Designs floral team surrounded the couple with lush garden roses, ranunculus, hydrangea and lush smilax vines. Their ceremony was adorned with overflowing florals accented with lanters, lovely vases of hydrangea, roses, blushing bride and ranunculus adorned with aisle. While in the dining room, low arrangements contained within glass compote bowls surrounded with romantic candles set the mood for a relaxed elegance.

We are smitten with each image captured by Melanie & Billy’s photograher Dallas Curow.

NOW RESERVING 2017 DATES | Sue Gallo Designs | Fresh Floral & Event Design

Wedding flowers are an essential and beautiful element to any wedding day celebration.

Here at Sue Gallo Designs, we suggest that you begin your flower planning 12 to 18 months out from your wedding. Whether you are planning a rustic barn wedding or an elegant estate fete…flowers are in integral part of creating an atmsophere, setting the mood, and bringing your vision to life. So securing your wedding florist should be on the top of your list when booking your wedding venders.

As a full service fresh floral and event design firm, we can assist you in creating a remarkable atmosphere. We will creatively brainstorm with you, curating your flowers and decor so that the Sue Gallo Design team can best curate a floral and decor plan that best suits your vision, your wishes, your needs and most importantly your budget. So that on your wedding day your wedding dreams will come to fruition simply perfectly.

When sitting down and meeting with Sue for the first time, you will chat about your vision and the details that will be required to bring it to life. As there are so many elements such as personal style, tastes and our collection of decor pieces that are to be considered, Sue prefers that you meet for the first time in SGD’s home studio. However, as many of Sue Gallo Design’s clients are from out of town, we understand that at this stage in the planning process an inperson meeting maynot be possible, and a telephone conference can be accommodated to begin the planning process with you. As a booked client, you can expect to visit with us a few more times to further discuss and solidify design and event details.

We look forward to sharing the Sue Gallo Design’s culture with you and assisting you in bringing your beautiful celebration to life.

Consultations are held in studio on Monday’s and Tuesdays with selected later week appointments dependant upon our event schedule. Looking forward to connecting with you and helping you to create a remarkable celebration.

With love & happiest of planning

VALE & VINE EDITORIAL FEATURE | Romantic Garden Style Shoot

whitney-heard-photography-shaw-events-niagra-garden_wedding57Only two words can possibly describe this romantic garden first look brunch, playfully glamorous!

Hoping to emulate an Italian engagement with a exquisite Alexis Gallery engagement ring that occurred months ago with previous clients. Danielle of Shaw Events reached out to the Venue Counsellor to help her secure the perfect venue. Danielle created an unexpected first look setting within an Italian inspired setting, the Italian Villa Bacchus. In the impossibly romantic villa garden, our couple caught the first glimpses of each other. Located in the heart of Niagara’s Bench country, the mansion sprawling estate was the perfect and unique setting for these first look photos.
Our bride was a vision with hair and make up by Amanda Zack. Her Catherine Langlois’ Megan gown of soft flowing silk chiffon perfectly encapsulates her youthful sweetness yet plays up her glamorous side. Her bouquet of classic pastel blush and cream tones with trailing silk ribbon accents is the perfect pairing of whimsical elegance with garden clematis, lush garden roses, sweet spring peony and romantic blushing bride leucadendron.
An intimate brunch awaited the couple in the Italian inspired garden. Nestled among the picturesque setting of the formal spring garden, the couple dined at a perfectly set table. A lush compote styled arrangement of spring garden blooms by Sue Gallo Designs completes the table top adorned with linen, plate and silver wear from Simply Beautiful Decor.
Customized hand written stationary by All Things Lovely Paper Co sweetly announces that couples pending nuptials. Warehouse 84, Kurtz Orpia Photography, Jenn Kavanagh Photography, When he Found Her

Set in a wooded valley, The Ancaster Mill, with its rustic elegant atmsophere, played host to Samantha & Brad’s romantic wedding.  Selecting a timeless color palette of blush, pinks and creams, the SGD design team created a feminine and romantic setting with florals of lush hydrangea, garden styled roses and trailing smilax vines, romantic ranunculus and elegant spray roses to adorn their ceremony space in the elegant Miller’s Chapel. Elegant and classic mirror trays were used to display guests escort cards and sat beneath vases of sweet white apple blossom wishing trees. Adding softly-lit candles, and vintage lace table runners along with sweet vases of coordinating blossoms adorned their dining tables within the Falls View dinning room. With the ceremony florals doing double duty accenting their intimate head table.   Their beautiful wedding was captured by VP Studios Photography.

Harbour Banquet Center Wedding | Ariella + Jordan

Ariella’s vision of an effortless and romantic wedding came to life at the Harbour Banquet & Confrence Center in an elegant ballroom over looking the Oakville Harbour. The SGD Event Crew created a lovely ceremony setting filled with dreamy ailsle flowers of roses and hydrangea in shades and hues of blush, pink and cream and a gorgous drapped Chuppah completed the ceremony space. As the autumn afternoon sun warmed the room, our friend & talented photographer Kurtz Orpia joined us to capture the lovely space. Ariella & Jordan’s ceremony space was quickly transformed into their dining room as the flower crew repurposed the ceremony decor into centrepieces and other floral accents. We hope you are just as smitten with their lovely celebrations as we were.

A WEDDING THROUGH THE EYES OF ELIZABETH IN LOVE | Mary Anne + Jeremiah Carmen's Banquet Centre Wedding

A WEDDING THROUGH THE EYES OF ELIZABETH IN LOVE | Mary Anne + Jeremiah Carmen’s Banquet Centre Wedding

We are thrilled when our couples tell us that they have hired Elizabeth in Love to photograph their wedding day. We know that they will have the most beautiful images to remember one of the most important days of their new lives together. Elizabeth, as usual did not disappoint. Mary Anne is gorgeous in her Maggie Sottero gown. There is nothing finer than a groom in custom made suit, especially one from King and Bay. Together Mary Anne and Jeremiah are a vision of elegance and sophistication. Sue Gallo Designs design team created florals in a soft palette of the palest peaches, sweet shades of  pinks and creams. Garden roses, dusty miller, jasmine vine along with lush hydrangea were light and airy perfectly matching the mood of the afternoon.   I know that you will be smitten with each and every image.

DEAR GRAY MAGAZINE CREATIVE FEATURE | Tobermory with Kurtz Orpia Photography

Earlier this summer one of our bouquets and floral crowns had an  adventure all their own. I’m a bit of a control freak…so the idea of sending my babies off on their own with Kurtz Orpia Photography to photograph on the gorgeous shores of Georgian Bay sent my tummy turning. I knew they’d be in great hands with Kurtz and I knew there would be a great story behind their little adventure…but still…I worried! I think Kurtz worried a bit too! But Wowza..what a lovely adventure these three had together…Kurtz, a bouquet and a floral crown of jasmine!  Throw in a lovely model and the stunning shores of Tobermorey Provincial Park and you have a dreamy collection of images. Enjoy my friends…as fall arrives, these lovely images have me dreaming of summer and the sweet memories that it brings.

Sarah & Kevin’s Whistle Bear Golf Club wedding is equal parts soft and romantic with simplistic yet elegant touches that abound their day. The couple choose the picturesque setting of the Grand River bank as the back drop for their first glimpse of each other …. nothing could have been more romantic or ideal for them. Sarah carried a stunning bouquet of trailing jasmine vine, blush garden roses and sweet as can be ranunculus and blush anemone and lush peony blossoms down the aisle for their cocktail ceremony. Which was held in the gorgeous Forest View Room at Whistle Bear Golf & Country Club. Sarah & Kevin then welcomed guests to dine in the Forest View Dining Room. The atmsophere continued with the simplistic and unformal elegance of the afternoon…which was simply adorned with gorgeous arrangements of blush hydrangea, creamy blush toned roses and anemone and textured blushing bride lucadendron … that playfully bounced off the simplistic white linen and white washed walls and ceiling of the dining room. We are completely smitten by how lovely Karina-Anne Photography documented Sarah & Kevin’s ever so dreamy white wedding day.

EARTH TO TABLE FARM | Sarah & Ben … An elegant barn wedding in Flamborough by the Ancaster Mill

The spectacular property just west of the city known as the Earth to Table Farm by The Ancaster Mill was the gorgeous setting for Sarah & Ben’s  classic barn wedding. Sarah & Ben selected the farm for its airy and romantic feel, and the relaxed locale is unique and beautiful …it certainly  didn’t disappoint! The Sue Gallo Designs event crew created a spectacular atmosphere of lush eucalyptus and ivy garlands … swaths of greenery that adorned each of the ouster dining harvest tables throughout the bar. Gorgeous florals in rich hues of greens, blushes with marsala and plums adorned the center family tables and head table. Romantic candle light completed the chic and unfussy ambiance throughout the barn. The result? Breathtaking! Wanting relaxed and lush bouquets, we designed stunning eucalyptus, dahlia and rose bouquets that set perfectly against the gorgeous tones of the just as lovely Two Birds Bridesmaids frocks and of course Sarah’s sophisticated & stunning Christos bridal gown. And the horses…well…who doesn’t love a wedding with horses!

Every dose of gorgeousness was perfectly captured by Lindsay Coulter Photography.

SPENCER’S AT THE WATERFRONT | Nicole & Jeff’s Retro Vintage Ceremony

Spencer’s at the Waterfronts light and airy Observatory was the setting for Nicole & Jeff’s retro vintage wedding. Surrounded by their family and friends the couple tied the knot with sweeping views of lake Ontario.  Their evening of dining and dancing began with a sweet ceremony beneath a retro inspired floral and ribbon back drop as they exchanged vows and pledged their forever with each other. Fresh blooms of summer peony, lush hydrangea, delicate dahlia, sweet anemone and romantic garden roses in pastel goodness of ivories, blushes and pinks in vintage inspired hob nob jars adorned the Observatory for a one of a kind wedding. Warehouse 84 provided a comfy vintage lounge that awaited guests in the lobby of the Observatory and where they could spy a whimsical donut wall … we heard they all could hardly await for when the delicious treats by Sweet Celebrations made their debut.  We were simply head over heals and utterly smitten with this fabulously fun wedding and the perfect images by photographer Kurtz Orphia who captured just a moment of this perfect wedding day designed by the Sue Gallo Designs Event Team. Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (2 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (1 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (19 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (21 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (22 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (17 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (18 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (26 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (14 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (34 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (31 of 45)Sue Gallo Spencer Smith 3 (44 of 45)

RUSTIC ELEGANCE | Ancaster Mill Wedding

Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (16 of 143)Our weekend wedding in the Governor’s Room at the Ancaster Mill was pure romance. Working along with our amazing couple, helping them to bring their vision to fruition was such pleasure. A classic and neutral color palette of creams, whites, ivory, and greys was selected to enhance the beauty of the Ancaster Mill setting. Choosing to keep their ceremony simple, and use the elegance of the Miller’s Chapel to enhance their marriage ceremony, blush toned florals with trailing vines and glowing candles adorned the fireplace hearth while vases of hydrangea, roses and sweet summer peony completed the aisle decor. The SGD event team created arrangements overflowing with hydrangea, roses and ranunculus with trailing ivies and Italian ruscus to adorn their dining tables in the Mill’s Governor’s Room. A simple but sweet draped garland lined back drop completed the head table scape, with an abundance of romantic candle light adding a romantic and beautiful ambiance to the room. Mini wood logs held place cards, along with wood slices added a simple but rustic touch, while guests received a truly iconic Canadian  treat of mini bottles of Canadian Maple Syrup. Grey linen table runners from Simply Beautiful Decor completed the table scapes.   In keeping with their wish to keep the atmosphere relaxed and family orientated, family members baked the delicious vanilla cupcakes with hand dipped oreo pops as after dinner treats. As always, Kurtz Orpia captured our gorgeous florals and decor simply perfectly!Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (139 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (127 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (129 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (131 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (135 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (142 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (97 of 143) Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (100 of 143) Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (102 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (13 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (29 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (35 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (20 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (24 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (9 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (32 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (48 of 143) Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (88 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (59 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (30 of 143)Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (114 of 143) Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (109 of 143) Sue Gallo_governors_room_ancaster_mill (52 of 143)
